The valve and tip-cleaner lever work as they should. With pressure in the fount, air passes through the generator tip when the valve is opened; when the tip cleaner is raised, the flow stops as it should.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vent is in very good shape, with one chip on the outer rim and a slight bend at one bail entry point. There is some rust inside and outside the fount, shown in the photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall, it is in excellent shape for its age.
