Used Akron Diamond Model 107 lantern, made circa the 1920s. This is a match-light model with an S-shaped generator. Akron offered the Model 107 in both gasoline and kerosene versions, so the generator should be checked before fueling or operating this lantern.
This lantern is a restoration project and should be expected to need quite a bit of work. There is considerable rust in places on the burner and bottom of the fount. The pump is seized, and we did not attempt to free it with tools. The mica globe is rough and has a large hole in one panel, visible in the photos. Bottom of fount may have issues but no visible holes.
The valve does turn and feels as it should, but we have not cleaned, started, or operated this lantern.
