Beautiful used Coleman 242C lantern dated March 1950. It includes its original Sunrise globe. The Sunrise lettering has faded, which is normal for globes from this era.
The pump operates normally and builds pressure. The valve and tip-cleaner lever work as they should. With pressure in the fount, air passes through the generator tip when the valve is opened; when the tip cleaner is raised, the flow stops as it should.
The vent is in very good shape, with one chip on the outer rim and a slight bend at one bail entry point. There is some rust inside and outside the fount, shown in the photos.
Overall, it is in excellent shape for its age. Please see the photos closely for the complete condition and appearance.
