Used fuel valve assembly for Coleman 242 through 242C, 243, and 243A lanterns. Coleman part 242A6571 (later listed as replaced by 200-6571). Valve only — generator is not included.
These are used as-removed assemblies. We have not repaired or rebuilt them.
What we check before shipping
- Tip-cleaner lever moves as it should
- Eccentric block moves up and down
- Valve operates well
Valve stem packing The original packing is still in place. We have not changed it. If the stem weeps fuel after install, replace the packing. New packing is available here.
Will it fit a 200 or 200A? Yes, if the original-style valve wheel is not important to you. The valve works on 200 and 200A lanterns. The difference is the wheel:
- 200 / 200A: wheel unscrews and comes off the stem
- 242 / 243: wheel is fixed and does not come off
Use this on a 200-series lantern only if a fixed 242-style wheel is acceptable.
